Community Works Youth Theater Ensemble (CWYTE) regularly hires youth interested specifically in writing and performing about what it’s like to have a parent incarcerated. No theater experience necessary, just a passion for acting and social justice.
Has one of your parents ever been in prison or jail?
Are you interested in writing and performing in a play with other youth about what it’s like having a parent incarcerated?
Do you want a fun, challenging job where you can express yourself?
CWYTE hires youth with incarcerated parents. To apply:
- One or both of your parents MUST have been incarcerated at some point in your life
- You MUST be between 14-18 years old
- You MUST live or go to school in San Francisco
We usually hire writers in June and actors in September. To interview for the writing and/or acting workshops, please contact CW’s Youth Theater Director, Ephi Stempler at estempler@communityworkswest.org
