Next, we have One Family, a program that focuses on mothers and fathers who are currently or formerly incarcerated in San Francisco County.
This program helps participants develop their parenting skills through therapy, counseling, and parenting classes, even in cases of physical separation from their children.

Today is National Women and Family Day and at Community Works, we are excited to spotlight two important programs: Women Rising and One Family.
Women Rising is led by women and provides tailored services to support young women as they transition back into the community and adulthood, with the goal of reducing repeat offenses.

The 9th National Conference on Community and Restorative Justice, hosted by @nacrjusa, in Washington D.C. brought together thousands of restorative practitioners across the country.
We are still reminiscing on the incredible, and restorative week our staff members shared at the conference.
A few standout moments:
✅ The wonderful opening plenaries that set the tone for the week!
✅ PW’s presentation about creating healing spaces for young people who have a loved one currently/formerly incarcerated
✅ Leaning into the power of storytelling through art, seen through the incredible canvas art
