Alyssa Marie Tamboura is a Bay Area native and an adult child of a formerly incarcerated parent. She currently is the Chief of Staff of Praxis, a venture capital fund focused on software and manufacturing industries. In her role, Alyssa works closely with the General Partner and Principal on all prospective investments, portfolio companies, and firm operations. Alyssa previously worked at Cooley LLP in Palo Alto (2022-2023), Covington & Burling LLP in San Francisco (2021), and at Stanford Medical School. She currently counsels for-profit and nonprofit entrepreneurs affiliated with Yale Ventures through the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Clinic at Yale Law School. Alyssa sits on the board for Put Me In!, a nonprofit that gives financial grants to children of incarcerated parents to play sports, and founded Walls to Bridges, a restorative justice program and connection program for system-impacted families. Alyssa previously served as the Chair of the Bay Area Children of Incarcerated Parents Partnership. She holds a B.A. in Legal Studies and Philosophy from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and  completed her J.D. at the Yale Law School in May 2024.
