Overview of the Case for Support Study

For over 25 years, Community Works (CW) has been redefining justice by emphasizing accountability, healing, and community connections. Our programs prevent and repair harm from legal system interactions by employing restorative justice to rebuild relationships, transformative justice to address root causes, and mental wellness support to heal trauma. The Youth Power programs empower children and young adults in San Francisco, Alameda, and Contra Costa counties to break cycles of incarceration and advocate for systemic change.

CW’s advocacy enhances these efforts by sharing impactful stories and shaping policies for broader transformation. By prioritizing the voices of those affected by injustice, we link individual healing with systemic change, ensuring participants receive the support to thrive and the power to transform harmful systems.
