Erasmo Ortiz has over eight years of experience working in Short Term Residential Therapeutic Programs, supporting youth with complex needs and helping young people navigate challenges while building stability and connections within their community. Having grown up in foster care himself, Erasmo brings valuable lived experience and a deep understanding of the systems and barriers that can affect young people in care. His professional experience and personal journey have shaped his commitment to advocating for youth and creating opportunities for positive change.
Erasmo is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Social Work at California State University, East Bay, where he is in his senior year and minoring in Sociology. Through his education, professional experience, and lived experience, he hopes to continue contributing to programs and systems that strengthen support for youth, families and communities.
