As a formerly incarcerated woman from the Bay Area, and participant in the destruction of our communities during the late 80s and early 90s my journey through and survival of domestic violence, substance abuse, and the California correctional system have fueled my passion for healing, empowerment, and community rebuilding. I believe that sharing my story and offering support can help break down stereotypes and promote positive change. Today, I am committed to helping others transform their lives.
I dedicate myself to assessing, planning, and supporting our participants in their reentry journey. My goal is to help them develop life skills, set achievable goals, address health and mental health needs, and build meaningful connections within their communities. I see my role as a guide and advocate for their success and well-being.
I might be on a cruise, exploring diverse cuisines in the Bay Area, enjoying an amusement park, performing stand-up comedy, or volunteering at Juvenile Hall to inspire youth toward a brighter future. At other times, I am with FIPPP, the Formerly Incarcerated Peoples Performance Project, where we share our stories to challenge the negative perception, promote understanding, and unite communities through shared human experiences.
